Patricia Kathleen Ray (Longstaff) passed away on December 16, 2025. She grew up in Vancouver and later raised her family (five children) in Burnaby. In her later years, she moved to Maple Ridge. She was a registered nurse at Vancouver General Hospital in the Neuroscience Department.

Pat loved the outdoors—skiing until she was 88 at Whistler/Blackcomb. She would take her family up Seymour Mountain for skiing all the time when they were young. She loved hiking and camping. She travelled to Ireland and Spain on biking and hiking tours. She joined the Confederation Park Hiking Group and hiked all over the Lower Mainland. She also loved to quilt and made many beautiful quilts.

Pat leaves behind 2 siblings, Joan and Donald. She was predeceased by her husband, Alan Ray. She will be lovingly remembered by daughters Leslie (Doug), Holly, Kathleen, and sons Gordon (Gay) and David (Lisa). Pat also had 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer’s/Dementia research.
