Cathedrals of Fire Art Show

St George Maple Ridge was privileged to host W. I. Seaton’s latest one man show “Cathedrals of Fire” in March 2025.

Seaton is a Canadian artist that began exhibiting his art work in 1964. This show was his tenth one man exhibition.

This exhibition contained several pieces from his encaustic collection in 2005 as well as his recent works from 2019 to present.  As the title of the exhibition implies, a majority of his recent works focus on historic Cathedrals that have caught fire.

On opening night, March 26, there was be a short program.  Many gathered at that time to hear from the artist and to experience the exhibit in a celebratory atmosphere.  Coffee, tea and sweets were enjoyed throughout the night.

The exhibition remained open for viewing March 27 – 29 from 11:00am – 3:00pm with the artist in attendance during that time.
