Lifegroups are one of the places we form community as a church. They are small groups of between 5-10 people who meet at Church or on Zoom on different days through the week, to build friendships, to study the bible and to pray and support each other. Our lifegroups are open to people who attend worship services at St George’s, so for those who are part of other churches we encourage you to join a group at your own church.
We have seven groups, meeting during the day and in the evening throughout the week. There is the option of joining a group for men or women only, or being part of a mixed group. Some groups meet on Zoom and others meet in person. If you’re thinking about joining a group, moving groups, or would like to know more, please sign up to the waiting list linked here. Mark: Living the Way of Jesus in the World
Runs from week of 13 April for 6 weeks. Books will be available for $10 at the church bookstand starting Palm Sunday.
The Gospel of Mark invites you to immerse yourself in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, and to consider his life-changing announcement that the kingdom of God has come. Hope-filled and healing, disruptive and demanding, love-growing and fear-beating, this is the way of King Jesus you’re invited to live, Monday through Sunday.
We will be using Tracy Cotterell’s six-session guide to draw us into Mark’s remarkable account of the person of Jesus. “Her astute questions, mini-features and contemporary stories will help you dig deeper into the radical implications of his joyful news for all of life today.”
Everyone in your lifegroup can have their own copy this beautiful, keepable book to make notes in, reflect further, and go deeper in study.
